Dr. Anirban Sengupta
Dr. Anirban Sengupta, Co-Founder & CEO, SusStrat Eduvisory Llp – brings in more than three decades of strategic, cross-functional business experience across a wide range of industries – with focus on Finance, Marketing and Sustainability. He has seen business from both sides of the table – as a practitioner and as an academician.
His industry tenure began in Manufacturing with CEAT Tyres, then almost a decade in Credit Rating space with CRISIL as Sr. Rating Analysts & then with Duff & Phelps Credit Rating India and FITCH Ratings India as Vice President & Member, Credit Rating Committee. He has handled more than a hundred rating assignments for debt instruments of organizations across multiple industries of automobiles, oil & gas, telecom cables, hospitality, liquor & brewery, tea, jute, cotton, plywood, sugar, construction, chemicals, trading, biscuits & dairy products, fertilizer, NBFCs, tyres, etc.
His academic leadership experience of two decades thereafter has been with – Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) Hyderabad as Professor & Center Director; Professor & Dean, UPES Dehradun; Professor & Dean, Mody University of Science and Technology; Executive Director, International School of Business & Media (ISB&M) Pune; Visiting Faculty with IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode, XIM Bhubaneswar; Goa Institute of Management as Associate Professor.
As a professor with a passion for practise-driven academics, he has been instrumental in grooming students over two decades, many of whom are well-known industry leaders today. He has also been at the forefront of introducing elements of Sustainability & ESG in business school programs when he launched MBA specialization in Sustainability Management at School of Business, Mody University of Science and Technology with active support of leading voices from ESG space in the Indian industry.
SusStrat Eduvisory is his brainchild which leverages upon his experience across industry and academics. It also gains from his relentless pursuit of influencing the future of business through corporate boards as an eligible Independent Director. He is currently on the Advisory Board of Mody University of Science and Technology and also of a boutique mental health & well being consultancy firm Carpediem EdPsych Consultancy LLP.
Dr. Anirban is an Electrical Engineer from Jadavpur University, Kolkata; Master in Management Studies from NMIMS under University of Mumbai and PhD (Management) from Savitribai Phule Puna University. He is an alumni of South Point High School, Kolkata.
Dr. Sumit Kulshrestha brings in two decades of expertise as an academic and startup mentor. Starting his professional career in the banking and insurance sectors, he transitioned to academia in the areas of finance, project management, valuation, modelling, investment analysis, corporate governance and entrepreneurship development. Earlier with Mody University, he is currently a faculty member with a leading private university in Jaipur.
